Clean Pick Up Lines: The Perfect Gentleman’s Guide
It might sound like some sort of oxymoron, but yes, there are clean pick up lines out there, if you’re going for the whole gentlemanly approach to getting girls. Granted, it’s not exactly the common pick up line of choice, but that’s the beauty of diversity—and the dating arena is chock full of it.
The danger of using squeaky clean pick up lines is that girls tend to peg you as the boring guy who always drives below the speed limit. You’re the guy with the words “Play Safe Always” on his bumper sticker. This is not how you want to appear. Remember that although the pick up line sets the mood of your subsequent conversation, it by no means, defines your entire interaction. Or at least, it shouldn’t. Your goal is to open the girl to the possibility of maybe talking to you, or getting a few drinks, without making her think that you’re trying to get in her pants (the distinct advantage of using clean pick up lines).
Now, clean pick up lines are, more or less, conversation openers that do not convey a strong sexual interest in the girl you’re eyeing. They are neutral. They are Switzerland. Neutral pick up lines however, don’t have to be boring. In fact, you should boost your creativity levels by taking the normal cliché pick up lines and making them sound interesting.
The cliché pick up lines that you want to lose are those that have been around since the Stone Age. Women feel attraction towards men who know that”What’s your sign?”, “May I buy you a drink?” and “You from around here honey?” are just not going to cut it. Make your pick up lines fun and challenging. The reason most girls don’t fall for the standard pick up lines is because these statements don’t feel any impact at all. Remember, if you forget impact then you might as well forget attraction.
Clean Pick Up Lines: Inspiration from Environment
Your surroundings are always a good source of inspiration for clean pick up lines. For instance, you’re in a club and you’re standing next to this girl you would like to start a conversation with. You could comment on the music, and say “Do you know the title of this track? They’ve had it on repeat since I got here, and it’s driving me nuts” or “This is a really good band, don’t you think? Do you know what they’re called?” Keep it simple, and try your best to sound casual, at the same time seem like a friendly dude just having a night out.
Another example of clean pick up lines is the question or opinion opener. If you want to get away with this properly, it’s a good idea to give this girl a reason for why you’re asking her a certain question. Why? Well, for one thing, it’s more believable, and for another, you seem more sociable when you inject people that you know into the conversation. Let’s say, for example, that you want to ask a girl her opinion on your outfit.
Instead of saying “Hi, what do you think of my clothes?”, you might want to go with “Hi, I need an expert opinion on what I’m wearing and you look like you have a great sense of style”. You could also say “Do you know any good Chinese restaurants around here? I have this Asian friend coming over in a while and I’d like to take him somewhere nice to eat”.
Remember to keep it fun. Come up with clean pick up lines that work and that’ll make her brain tick, and you’re good to go.
